Meg Duin remembers the red carpet, the yellow paint, and don’t forget the wallpaper.
The former Trinity Lutheran church member, who now lives in Longville, Minnesota, was back in the Quad Cities this past week.
While she was in the area, she didn’t want to miss out on seeing the progress on Trinity’s sanctuary.
So … she did drive nine hours. We couldn’t not let her catch a glimpse.
“Holy smoke,” Meg gasped as she cautiously peeked through the sacristy doorway before making her way into the sanctuary. “I’m so glad and excited that Trinity is doing this.”
On Feb. 17-18, Trinity will be opening the new-look sanctuary for everyone to see.
There will be worship services, which will start in the Fellowship Hall and move to the sanctuary, on Feb. 17 at 5 p.m., and on Feb. 18 at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
The services, which will focus on hymns and homilies, will include choirs and instrumentalists. There will be a celebration reception on Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
It’s going to be a great celebration, and we can’t wait to return to our new-look worship space.
We hope that you can join us.
