Trinity is making changes to its hot lunch program.
Beginning this fall, Trinity’s hot lunch program will be done in-house.
It’s a significant shift.
It’s been a very long time since Trinity last operated an in-house hot lunch program.
In the past, Trinity has used outside providers – most recently Davenport Public Schools – for its hot lunches.
Trinity was notified this past fall that Davenport Public Schools would no longer provide hot lunch services to our school beyond the 2024-25 school year.
Trinity immediately formed a task force committee, seeking the best alternative.
After much investigating and meeting with hot lunch providers, it was decided that an in-house option would be the best for our students and families.
Currently, Trinity is seeking applicants for a full-time food service director, along with a part-time cook and a part-time assistant cook.
If you are interested or might know of someone who is interested, please contact Ms. Jensen – deje.jensen@trinitydavenport.org.
While many details still are being worked out, Trinity will remain part of the National School Lunch Program, allowing us to offer free and reduced lunches.
