Trinity eighth-grader headed to national meet

Trinity’s Natalie Smith will be competing at the National Lutheran Cross Country Meet on Saturday (Oct. 26) in Mequon, Wis, on the campus of Concordia Wisconsin.

Natalie, an eighth-grader, eclipsed the national 2-mile qualifying time of 14:58 by finishing in a winning time of 14:44 at the Williamsburg meet.

It will be the first time since 2019 that Trinity has had a female runner compete at the national meet.

Natalie will be one of 200 female runners competing in Saturday’s meet, which begins at noon.

Good luck, Natalie.

UPDATE: Natalie finished in a personal-best time of 14:33 during Saturday’s (Oct. 26) National Lutheran Cross Country Meet, finishing in 79th place out of almost 200 runners. Great job, Natalie. Trinity is proud.
