It was God’s timing.
It was His plan.
Ian McCloud left a teaching position at Davenport West High School to join Trinity’s faculty in 2020.
“I felt the public system was missing God at the center of everything that they were doing,” shared Mr. McCloud, who teaches middle school science at Trinity.
The move was a perfect match for the McCloud family and Trinity.
“I wanted a career change that matched our family’s beliefs and values,” shared Mr. McCloud, who grew up in western Iowa and graduated with a degree in education from the University of Nebraska.
Mr. McCloud has thrived and been a blessing to Trinity.
The blessings continue to flow as Mr. McCloud was installed as a Minister of Religion – Commissioned on Jan. 4.
The installation comes after many hours of work toward completing the colloquy process – a program that prepares men and women who are currently serving in ministry roles for membership in the Missouri Lutheran Synod.
“It’s a privilege to work with this specific group of the Body of Christ,” Mr. McCloud shared. “God has truly blessed me! All the glory to God as He works in all of us to accomplish His will at Trinity.”
We are blessed.
“God had a plan for me, and He led me to a career in Lutheran education,” Mr. McCloud shared.
