The smiles that emerged on the faces of Tyler and Adelynn Liske when asked about their upcoming weekend plans was priceless.
“Well, I mean, I’m getting Baptized on Nov. 17,” shared Tyler, who is a fourth-grader at Trinity School. “I’m pretty excited about that.”
Tyler, who is in his second year at Trinity School, is a little nervous.
“I’m not sure of standing up in front of a crowd, and the water being poured on my head,” shared Tyler. “But it will be worth it – knowing that I’m closer to God.”
Tyler and Adelynn – a third-grader at Trinity – will be sharing their Baptism with some familiar faces.
Alyissa, Tyler and Adelynn’s mom, and two younger siblings, Graysen and Everly, also will be splashed in Baptismal water during the 8 a.m. service on Sunday.
Praise the Lord.
“Tyler is telling everyone – his friends and staff at Trinity – that he’s being Baptized,” Alyissa shared. “He’s so excited.”
So is the rest of his family.
“We absolutely love Trinity,” Alyissa shared. “I have been longing to find a church that was similar to my church home down south. Trinity is the closest church to that, and that’s why I wanted us to be baptized and become members at Trinity.”
Alyissa and her husband, Drew, who has been baptized, completed the God’s Workmanship Class at Trinity this fall.
Alyissa and Drew are among a group of people who will be received into membership of the church on Sunday.
