It’s been a long time coming.
Probably too long.
After years of patching and band-aiding, Trinity is resurfacing its west parking lot.
“It’s gotten to the point where it’s just not safe – for students, families, visitors, buses and vehicles,” shared Travis Jansen, who is Trinity’s Director of Facilities Management. “It’s a massive need that needs taken care of.”
An increase in the volume of traffic and the number of buses that use Trinity’s west parking lot – on a daily basis – has sped up the deterioration process.
The plan is to asphalt the entire lot and to incorporate concrete curbing. The parking lot also will be restriped.
The project is expected to begin in June.
The west parking lot project – along with completed improvements to our sanctuary, classrooms, gym, exterior transformations, all within the past seven months – is another step forward for Trinity Lutheran.
“God has a hand in this,” Pastor Schilling shared. “What a blessing it is. What opportunities we have, to continue to proclaim and share the Gospel.”
